Mn-DOPPED ZnS QUANTUM DOTS AS SENSITIVE SENSOR FOR DETERMINATION OF CIPROFLOXACIN IN PHARMACEUTICAL AND BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES

A simple and fast spectrofluorimetric method for determination of ciprofloxacin based on its quenching effect the fluorescence intensity colloidal water soluble TGA caped, Mn doped ZnS quantum dots (QDs) has been described. The QDs having characteristic spectra with maximum excitation at 315 nm followed by an emission peak 632 were characterized using Energy Dispersive X-Ray X-ray Diffraction techniques. various parameters such as concentration QDs, time, pH, common excipients metal ions phenomenon was investigated. Fluorescence found to be 10 µg mL-1 pH 8 observed constant upto 45 min. Stern-Volmer calibration plot F0/F a function linear in range 0.5-10 r² = 0.993. Under optimal experimental conditions, interference free. percent relative standard deviation proposed method, calculated against blank, 1.10%. limit detection (LOD) quantitation (LOQ) (signal noise ratio 3:1 LOD 10:1 LOQ) 0.15 0.50 μg respectively. Average recoveries (±SD) obtained spiked commercial formulations; ciprol ciproquine, serum urine samples 92.2±1.8% 99.5±1.5%, 90.5±1.2% 96.7±1.4% 94.0±1.2% 98.5±1.4% data evidently proves potential sensor biological analysis.
